Our Story

As a child, I remember a house full of laughter and a father who acted as the family comedian. It seemed like his number one goal was to make the household lively and very happy, especially me. My world was shaken when my parents separated and the once happy home of an 8 year old girl turned into walls and spaces that echoed sounds of a tough path ahead and the need to run through them to

Board President and Founder

The one that bares the heart of True Identity Poverty Alleviation Initiative, Precious Blessing Ugbekile, is driven by her desire to break the cycle of poverty by providing education, empowerment, and support to the  most vulnerable among us. Ms. Precious Blessing graduated from the University of Benin with a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Diplomacy and a Diploma in Accounting (DIA). She is the CEO of Ella P. Day Spa and Training Centre. She is passionate about serving and is driven by her love for creating impact that empowers children and young women. Unshakably optimistic, she believes in a world where every child can grow and make a positive impact, ultimately living the life of Christ. Precious loves to worship and when she is not loving on others or working at her day job, you can find her with a book.

Wiseogie Ogieriakhi

Board Member- Treasurer

Wise has been a part of the True Identity family for several years and has used his accounting background to serve as the organization’s Financial Director. A BSc. holder from the prestigious Ambrose Ali University in Edo State, and an Accountant by Profession, he has worked at several companies in different capacities. On his day job, Wiseogie is the CEO of Wyzeeconcept Biz-World Ltd, a major player in the building accessories industry. A realist and team player whose passion inspires advocacy to end child hawking, Wiseogie devotes his time building relationships with and serving our children.

Board Member

Andrew Lovedale is a friend of True Identity Poverty Alleviation Initiative (TIPAI) who brings some non-profit leadership experience. He is the  Founder of Access to Success (A2S), a nonprofit that is committed to investing in Nigerian students and communities.  A native to Benin City, Andrew describes himself as being lifted “from grass to grace.” His vision for A2S that each child/person in Nigeria finds a dignified path to a successful life and is empowered to live out God’s plan for a future filled with hope fits within his passion for the work of TIPAI.  He obtained his A levels at Loretto College in England.  Andrew gained a scholarship to play Division 1 basketball at Davidson College, in North Carolina, where he also majored in Political Science. After his college career, Andrew played professional basketball in France and Switzerland and the U.S.A.. He retired from professional basketball in 2015 to pursue his passion and purpose for empowering youth.

Tina Samir holds the True Identity Poverty Alleviation Initiative close to her Heart. She has not only witnessed the growth of TIPAI but has been invested since its inception. She gained her Esthetician license in Canada. She is a Partner at Ella P. Day Spa in Benin City, and CEO of Ella’s Kitchen in Canada. Tina is an entrepreneur who understands the value that education adds to every child. She is a lover of crafts and accessories and the mother of two gorgeous young women.

Rekiyah Momoh

Administrative Manager

One of our many scholars at True Identity Poverty Alleviation Initiative, Rekiya is currently serving as our Administrative Manager full time while waiting to be enrolled at the prestigious University of Benin where she plans to study English and Literature. A true TIPAI kid, Rekiya has benefited from all facets of our programming – she is an education, vocational, and Women Read Academy scholar. While waiting to resume school, she is working with TIPAI to develop her administrative skills and give  back to the community.

Victory Akowe

Volunteer Events and Fundraising Coordinator

Victory is one of the many youth impacted by the True Identity Poverty Alleviation Initiative (TIPAI),  through its Women Read Academy Program and A fashion designer. She attended the University of Benin where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in English and Literature. She is the CEO of Akowe Victory Fashion, a fast growing brand in Benin City that produces affordable bespoke and ready to wear outfits for working women in Edo State. As her way of giving back, Victory employs her person skills into serving with TIPAI as our volunteer events and fundraising coordinator.

Volunteer Program Development Coordinator

Precious Akowe is a final year undergraduate student at the prestigious University of Benin. Precious has served in several volunteering and ambassadorial capacities for a number of non-profit, local organizations and even multinational brands. Precious is always eager to contribute to positive change and this drives her commitment to use her capacity to support organizations like True Identity involved in creating a better society for all. She currently serves as the President of the Women Read Academy, a program under the Women Empowerment arm of the organization. In her spare time, Precious enjoys movies, books and cooking.
